Fonias

One of the most beautiful streams on the island. The path through the wood of great plane trees to the waterfall is unforgettable. People who know what they are doing, are physically fit and have the right footwear may attempt the climb to the area above the waterfall and once there they can enjoy the wonderful natural surroundings.

If you don't mind the summer water temperature of 15 degrees centigrade you can swim in the pool which is formed there. Experienced climbers and swimmers climb up the left flank of the rock to a height of 12 meters and jump into the water from there. This calls for strong nerves and is not without danger!
