| Whereas once the way to get to the sandy beach of (Pahia) Άmmos used to be a narrow little road which passed through the center of the village, there is now a new road which takes the visitor to the beach via the old olive-mills. These are a characteristic of this area as Lakkoma is situated in the heart of olive oil producing country. Nowadays olive oil is produced at a modern olive press which is also found here. |  |
