Island cooking on a Chora rooftop
I Aretsa is a small taverna set on the roof of a traditional house in the old lanes of Chora, close to the 19th-century bakery and the goat shop. It is one of the tavernas that open only for the short high summer, usually in July and August.
It is a place to try the island's own home cooking rather than the standard taverna menu.
Good to know
- In the old part of Chora, below the castle
- Seasonal: open in high summer only
