Sunset over Chora and the sea

Meltemi, named after the summer north wind, is a café-bar in Chora with one of the widest views in the village: over the roofs of Chora and out across the Thracian Sea. It is a favourite spot for sunset.

Order homemade lemonade or sour-cherry drink, mountain tea hot or iced, a Greek beer, or a spoon sweet with coffee: praousti, the island's wild plum, sour cherry or wild fig. When hunger hits there are hot and cold sandwiches and homemade sweets baked in the tray.
